Territories (Design Methodologies Brief)

Mapping out/indexing a particular territory (shoreline).

I pictured the shoreline back in my hometown, Caernarfon. I documented what I would be able to see from the shoreline, looking down to begin with, and slowly looking up and out towards the sea.

I mind mapped everything I could think of in terms of what I could see and maybe what I couldn’t see, and tried to establish their connections to the outer world.

I called my index ‘Subjective Experiences as Points of Interest’.

Each bowed line is a water depth boundary, where I would imagine the water getting deeper and deeper. I cannot see things such as the speed limit for boats, but I know that they’re there.
